About the Foundation

A longstanding commitment

The work of the Catherine Kühn Foundation is rooted in a history that predates its formal establishment.

From 2008, its founder, Manuella M. Santos, provided regular support to children in vulnerable situations in Togo, with the aim of improving their living conditions and facilitating their access to education. This commitment gradually expanded to supporting orphanages, schools and healthcare facilities.

Seeking to give these initiatives a structured and lasting framework, Manuella M. Santos established the Catherine Kühn Foundation in 2022. It received official authorisation to operate in Togo on 13 June 2023.

Today, the Foundation seeks to carry this philanthropic legacy forward by combining personal commitment, institutional rigour, measurable results and strategic partnerships.

Its mission extends beyond assistance: it aims to create opportunities that foster individual autonomy, strengthen communities and contribute to sustainable development across Africa.
