According to her firsthand account, the Foundation’s founder initiated discussions that brought the rehabilitation needs of the hospital’s surgical emergency department to the attention of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
She describes personally accompanying Mr Aliou Mamadou Dia, then UNDP Resident Representative in Togo, to the hospital and convening discussions to advocate for financial support for the project.
